Dave Rose Bio
Dave Rose was the head coach of Brigham Young University's men's basketball program for 14 years, achieving a winning percentage of .720. He led the team to five consecutive appearances in the top-25 polls, six straight trips to the NCAA tournament, and four straight seasons with a postseason victory. He also guided the Cougars to back-to-back conference championships in 2007 and 2008.
Rose has a commitment to excellence that goes beyond the basketball court. He won various awards for his outstanding service and contributions to the community. He established the David and Cheryl Rose Family Student Cancer Research Endowment, supporting BYU students conducting cancer research.
Throughout his career, Rose developed and recruited talented players. His efforts resulted in multiple top-20 recruiting classes. He recruited and coached Jimmer Fredette, who won the National Player of the Year in 2010.
Before joining BYU, Rose had a successful coaching career at Dixie State College, now Utah Tech University, leading his teams to top-20 rankings and three conference titles. In 2013, he was inducted into the Dixie State Athletics Hall of Fame and was just recently inducted into the Utah sports hall of fame.
With over 30 years of coaching experience, Rose established himself as one of the most accomplished and respected coaches in college basketball.
Garrett Rose Bio
Garrett Rose is an exceptional fundraiser and public speaker, driven by a passion for serving others. He has devoted his life to making a positive impact through his work, collaborating with individuals around the globe to transform the world through their acts of giving.
Garrett's extensive experience in esteemed organizations such as The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the American Red Cross, and LDS Philanthropies has given him a deep understanding of the intricacies of fundraising and enabled him to forge meaningful connections with donors. Garrett currently serves as a director of development for athletics at Utah Tech University.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Garrett cherishes his time with his wife and four sons. He enjoys coaching his sons' sports teams and spending time outdoors. Garrett's unwavering dedication and ability to inspire and connect with others position him as an invaluable force for positive change.
